ABORDAJE PREVENTIVO DEL CONSUMO DE SUSTANCIAS ADICTIVAS EN LAS INSTITUCIONES EDUCATIVAS

Resumen

El consumo de sustancias adictivas ha alcanzado características que afecta la salud pública de la población de adolescentes y jóvenes. Al considerar este planteamiento, surge la inquietud de dar respuesta al siguiente objetivo: Reseñar brevemente el abordaje preventivamente el consumo de sustancias adictivas en las instituciones educativas, el cual direccionó el desarrollo investigativo, a través de argumentos que sugieren una focalización en la atención hacia el problema del consumo de sustancias adictivas mediante un abordaje preventivo a ser implementado a los estudiantes de educación media general, aplicando herramientas conceptuales que amplían el conocimiento de la realidad. Desde el punto de vista metodológico, se realizó una revisión de diferentes fuentes de información para obtener una visión amplia de la problemática estudiada. Se destaca, entonces, la adopción de un enfoque multidisciplinar en la que la actuación preventiva se constituye como un proceso activo para la implementación de iniciativas tendientes a modificar y mejorar la formación integral de los estudiantes. Por tanto, el abordaje preventivo del consumo de sustancias  adictivas, necesita crear las condiciones para la práctica de intercambios entre el docente con el estudiante. Es decir, sustentado en una participación que relacione al estudiante con los procesos o situaciones que le afectan, así como en la internalización y reconocimiento de la realidad vivenciada, así como de ubicación frente a las situaciones problemáticas que lo rodean. ABSTRACT The use of addictive substances has reached traits that affect the adolescents and young people’s public health. When considering this approach, the concern to answer the following question arises: How is the use of addictive substances in educational institutions preventively addressed? Importantly, this question directed the research development in which the arguments suggest a focus on the attention towards the problem of addictive substances use through a preventive approach to be implemented to the students of general secondary education, applying conceptual tools that extend the knowledge of reality. From the methodological point of view, a review of different sources of information was carried out to obtain a broad view of the studied problem. It stands out then, that the adoption of a multidisciplinary approach in preventive action constitutes an active process for the implementation of initiatives aimed at modifying and improving the integral training of students. Therefore, the preventive approach to the use of addictive substances needs to create the conditions to the practice of exchanges between the teacher and the student. That is, based on a participation that relates the student with the processes or situations that affect him, as well as in the internalization and recognition of the lived reality, along with the self-awareness of the problematic situations that surround him.
