Primer registro de Phytophthora en Melocactus neryi (Equisetopsida: Cactaceae) en los llanos centrales, estado Guárico, Venezuela

Resumen

En el presente trabajo se registra por primera vez el ataque producido por una especie no identificada del género Phytophthora sobre el cactus Melocactus neryi en los Llanos Centrales, estado Guárico, Venezuela. Se propone realizar más análisis de laboratorio para identificar la especie de Phytophthora y continuar el monitoreo fitopatológico en las poblaciones de M. neryi. Abstract In the present work the attack produced by an unidentified species of the genus Phytophthora on the cactus Melocactus neryi is recorded for the first time in the Central Llanos, Guárico state, Venezuela. Further laboratory analysis is proposed to identify the Phytophthora species, and to continue with phytopathological monitoring on the populations of M. neryi.
